Champagne named interim president

In the wake of Roy J. Nirschel's July 2 resignation as university president, Roger Williams University named Dr. Ronald Champagne as interim president.

Champagne was president of Saint Xavier University in Chicago for 12 years as well as the senior vice president for development at the Alzheimer's Association.

The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team began Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 9-0 win over Anna Maria College Tuesday afternoon.
